Farewell London
We have just spent our last weekend in London-and what a great weekend it was! Lots of fun, friends, food and even some sunshine. We did a lot of our favourite London things including coffee, lunch and chocolate brownies at Borough Market, a visit to the Tate Modern and a walk along the south bank, cocktails at a funky new bar in Kings Cross (Camino), a lazy lunch at a gastropub (the Formosa dining room), drinking Monmouth Coffee and eating Neal’s Yard cheeses in Covent Garden, a picnic in the park, and lots and lots of laughs with all our great friends. London is an amazing city and we are both sad to be saying goodbye – there is always something to do and new places to discover. “Continue reading” to see pictures from the weekend.
We have made some wonderful friends here and we were incredibly touched by everyone’s efforts to make our last weekend in London very special. We have lots of great memories of fun times in London and a fair few hazy ones too! We are going to miss you all and we hope that you stay in touch and come and visit us down under.
We leave the UK in exactly 21 days and there’s so much to do. First I have to finish writing my dissertation. We also have to pack all our things, get Mark a visa, find me a job, find us a flat and generally tie up 5-6 years of life here! There will be a huge sigh of relief when we get on a plane on the 13th of August and start our month-long vacation in the States.

Good to see the photos. It looked like the party photos were a progression of people getting merry. The two photos of you and mark at the end look like the morning after. It is sad to leave friends and familar places. Life is a bit like that, endings and new beginings. Go well, mwa.
